2ne1’s “Not Ugly” campaign is also popular overseas

2ne1’s “Not Ugly” campaign which was run by Sandara, attracted a lot of interest in Korea as well as overseas.

“Not Ugly” campaign which started on August 6 is a project with the message: “There are moments when every one of us feel unwanted and imperfect, but everyone can be beautiful in their own way. Let’s have courage.”

More than 7000 people from Korea, Japan, Philippines, Singapore, and 14 other countries have responded to Sandara’s message with their stories so far.

Due to this astounding situation, the campaign which was extended to August 14 is extended further until 19, in order to receive more stories from people across the world.

People who sent their stories varied from teenagers who were unhappy about their looks, businessmen, sportsmen, housewife and many more, all of them having unique stories regarding their trouble with their looks and low self-esteem.

In this campaign, ten people are selected from the ones who sent their stories. To help them get courage, Sandara will give them a make-over herself. The results are to be announced on the fourth week of August.

Meanwhile, 2ne1’s new song “Ugly” is a huge hit, and 2ne1 is soaring in popularity.
